Auf nach Tel Aviv hieß es für uns schon Ende Mai! Google hat uns für 3 Tage eingeladen den Innovations- und Startup Spirit in  Tel Aviv zu erleben! Warum Israel? Warum Tel Aviv? Dazu später mehr, es sei nur soviel gesagt – das Land und die Mentalität der Menschen trägt unmittelbar zum Erfolg der vielen Israelischen Tech-Companies bei.

In den nächsten Wochen gibt es hier immer wieder Berichte, WrapUps zu verschiedenen Keynotes, Themen und Gesprächen die wir geführt haben. Zwei tage voller Eindrücke, Menschen, Fragen und Antworten. Bleibt am Ball!

Erster Tag – Fasten Your Seatbelts

Es ist Sonntag, wir reisen um die Mittagszeit an, und versammeln und früh am Flughafen, es wurde gesagt das wir früh erscheinen sollen, doe Kontrollen nach Israel sind straff, wie fliegen auf den sichersten Flughafen der Welt, angeblich, We´ll see. Weder in Deutschland noch in Israel warteten straffe Kontrollen auf uns, umso besser! Ab ins Taxi, ab nach Herzelyia. Unser Hotel lag im Hafen von Herzelyia, strandnah, mit Meerblick. Nach den winterlichen Temperaturen in Deutschland eine willkommene Abwechslung!

Nachdem wir das Gepäck abgestellt und unsere Kollegen von Google getroffen haben hatten wir noch ein wenig die Zeit die Stadt zu erkunden, auf dem Weg zum Dinner, und zwischen den Drinks. Die nächsten Tage waren voll, also einen Gang zurück schalten.

Tag zwei – Shalom! Welcome to Google TLV!

Google und der Google Campus sitzt in den 30er Etagen des Electra Towers mitten in der Stadt. Mehr als 500 Leute werkeln hier tagtäglich am Suchprodukt von Google. Neu für mich, Innovation im „Suchprodukt“, sowie die zugehörige Produktentwicklung finden hier in Israel statt, nicht etwa in Mountain View.

Los geht’s straffes Programm! Meird Brand, MD Google Russland, Türkei, Middle East und Afrika nimmt sich eine volle Stunde für uns Zeit und beantwortet fleißig fragen. Auch wenn wir von der Innovationskraft Israels schon viel gehört haben, und regelmäßig mit Israelischen StartUps sprechen, wird uns spätestens jetzt klar warum Israel diesen Ruf hat.
